Under the Cup Gassing Station (UTC)
The under the cup gassing station seals on the container, lifts the bag on valve out of the container, injects compressed air or nitrogen around the bag, lowers the bag on valve assembly back down into the container, and then finally crimps the bag on valve assembly onto the container. The container is then ready for filling through the valve.

Sanitary 316 ss Positive Displacement Product Fillers
Pictured
Pictured above are our sanitary product filling pumps used for conventional aerosol, open can filling and bag on valve through the valve filling.
Based on many years of experience and customer input, we set out to make the perfect product pump to meet our customers' needs. We regularly replace original antiquated pumps with our pumps to improve both quality and sanitization. Our pumps and fill heads can be retrofitted to most machinery in the field. We can also provide a pressure tester which can be used in place of a waterbath for the D.O.T. Regulator. Call for more details.

As the EPA tightens rules and regulations on conventional aerosol hydrocarbon propellants, the bag on valve package is a growing trend in the aerosol industry.
The bag on valve is just as it sounds: a bag attached to an aerosol valve. A rolled up aluminum bag is welded or attached to the aerosol valve. Compressed air is charged into the can, and an aerosol valve with the bag attached is crimped onto the container. The product is forced through the aerosol valve stem to fill the bag. When the spray button is pressed, the product is squeezed out of the bag by the compressed air which creates the aerosol spray via the spray button orafice. The major benefit of this package is obviously the non VOC aspect. The other benifit is that it is completly recyclable. 99% of the product is squeezed out so the only thing left is aluminum and 30-40 psi of harmless compressed air which makes it the most green aerosol.

The bag on valve uses compressed air instead of a liquid gas (hydrocarbons) to propel the product out of the aerosol can. The bag on valve is a simpler package than conventional aerosol with the exception that it does not require all the production and safety expense associated with conventional aerosol production.
Examples of these expenses would be the gas house, propellant tank farms and in some cases the use of a waterbath to meet DOT regulations. The only limitation to using the bag on valve would be with a product that requires the hydrocarbon to dissolve or thin the product.
